Retirement living comes with a variety of differences when compared to regular housing. Below are answers to some of the more common questions we get asked.
At what age can I enter the resort?
Plantation Retirement Resort has an age minimum of 50 years for entry.
Do you have a resort bus?
Each resort has a complimentary bus to take our residents to shopping centres, markets, local trips, tours, concerts and some weekends away.
Can we bring our pets?
Yes, approved pets are allowed at our resorts. Pets are not allowed in the pool area.
Can my family and friends stay overnight?
Yes, family and friends are welcome to stay for up to 3 weeks at a time (a total of 6 weeks per year without special approval). Your family and friends are also welcome to enjoy the resort facilities
as long as you accompany them.
Other than the general service fee, are there any other costs?
You pay for your own electricity, telephone/internet/Streaming services, and home contents insurance.
Do you offer medical care in the resort?
Plantation Retirement Resort offers an independent-living lifestyle. You can arrange your own in-house nursing or medical care if necessary.
Do you have parking for caravans and/or boats?
Our high-rise resorts come with allocated car spaces only. Our flat villages also come with specifically allocated parking spaces. You would need to speak to your resort manager first.
What happens when I want to travel?
You are free to come and go as you please. Let the resort manager know when you are away for any length of time and they will look after your mail and make any necessary arrangements while you're travelling.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, a deposit of $1000 will be required when you either 'hold' a Unit via an "Option" or at the time of signing an application. Your Sales Consultant will be happy to discuss this further with you.
Do you have NBN available?
Yes, plus a free wireless hub is offered in each resort’s community hall.
Can I install a garden shed?
Yes, subject to the resort manager’s approval.
